You probably already know that DET is changing the senior secondary certificate in Victoria to combine VCAL and VCE into just one certificate. But what does that actually mean? 2022
Students can still enrol in VCAL or VCE.
2023
Anyone who studied VCAL previously or was planning to study VCAL will instead enrol in VCE Vocational Specialisation.
Anyone who was studying or planning to study Foundation VCAL will be enrolled in the new foundation pathways certificate.
Credit for subjects studied under VCAL or Foundation VCAL will transfer into VCE Vocational Specialisation when students enrol in 2023.
