Our Senior Secondary Advisory Panel
VicSRC's Senior Secondary Advisory Panel was made with support from the Victorian Department of Education in 2025 as a response to our Policy Platform priority "Definitions of Success".
Victorian students have raised issues with the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) for many years. Over countless years of VicSRC Congress, students have continually identified the need for fairer, more equitable VCE opportunities.
Our panel is represented by students from all school sectors, all senior secondary pathways, from both metropolitan Melbourne and regional and rural Victoria.
This panel works directly with the Victorian Department of Education to make sure students have an opportunity to talk directly with government about how to make senior secondary schooling better for every student in Victoria with the ongoing senior secondary reforms.

Hi! I’m Ella. I love reading, writing, music, and theatre. I also enjoy helping others and being involved in making decisions at school. I go to Maryborough Education Centre and I’m in Year 11, studying VCE and a VET Certificate II in Cookery. I want to help make school easier for senior students, especially since many of us had our learning disrupted by COVID-19. I also care a lot about stopping bullying and discrimination, especially against people of different races and those in the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe every student deserves to feel safe and supported.
